Take a thrilling ride through space and visit strange new alien star systems such as multiple star systems (from binary to septenary), multiple planetary systems, circumbinary planets and disks, black holes, pulsars and magnetars.Ever wondered how far from Earth are the stars you see in the night sky? Or how far or close they are to each other? Now you can visualize those distances in 3D with a star map divided into 10 parsec sectors (cubes) or 32.62 light years, for an easier observation. Sector (0,0,0) is our home sector and Sol is the Solar System. From the outskirts of the galaxy, in the Norma-Outer spiral arm to the galactic centers supermassive black hole Sagittarius A*, discover a galaxy full of amazing facts. Notable structures included: the Pillars of Creation, Helix Nebula, the Engraved Hourglass Nebula, the Pleiades, the Orion Arm (where the solar system and the Earth are located) with its Orion belt. Check out neighboring dwarf galaxies such as Sagittarius and the Canis Major Overdensity, stellar streams as well as internal galactic components such as a variety of nebulae, star clusters or supernovae.Photos are taken by NASA spacecraft and ground based telescopes like Hubble Space Telescope, Chandra X-Ray, Herschel Space Observatory and the Spitzer Space Telescope.Features★ Almost 4.5 milion stars, over 4000 exoplanets, 200 circumstellar disks, 38 black holes, 11 magnetars and around 2500 pulsars in the database★ Planets are updated daily from multiple sources, without needing to update the app ★ Stars extracted from SIMBAD from multiple catalogs like the European Space Agencys Hipparcos mission, the Gliese catalogue and parts of the ASCC - All Sky Compiled Catalogue and the most recent GAIA catalogue★ 3D representations of all star systems and their orbits (green stars = unknown spectrum)★ black holes in binary systems, including the famous Cygnus X-1 and the Great Annihilator (the only binary system with a black hole and a pulsar)★ pulsars and pulsar planets - the first type of planet ever discovered beyond our solar system, orbiting the extremely dense core of a massive star that exploded as a supernova. Fewer than 1% of pulsars have been found to host planets.★ magnetars, a special and rare type of neutron star★ Search for stars, planets, disks, black holes, neutron stars and magnetars by a wide range of parameters: name, type, system type, constellation, catalog, star type (color)★ Detailed information for every stellar objectExplore space and get a little closer to our wonderful universe with this awesome astronomy app! This interactive 3D map is excellent for teachers to use for instruction, and it is a great resource for students to explore the Milky Way galaxy and space as they learn more about the universe we live in. An internet connection is necessary to access the online stellar database as well as the wiki information. A subset of the database between sectors (-10,-10,-10) and (10,10,10) can be queried offline including planetary and orbit data.V4.4.3All improvements and bug fixes from Galaxy Map and Stars and Planets included: new autocomplete search feature, updated UI, newly added exoplanets in the database will appear in a panel, sizes of planets and moons adjusted to better reflect the differences between them, parent star spectral planet search

I've been looking for an app like this for a long time.... very impressive! One thing I would like to see added are moons for each of the planets in our solar system that have them.

Beautiful beautiful interpretations and models of our galaxy and even surrounding neighborhood very insightful

Why for the free version could I look up.sectors, but then once I paid, it looks pretty, but now it can't? That makes no sense at all. Can this be fixed or is there some super secret hidden method to do what I used to be able to do for free?

Please add ringed world planet opinion and the only water world planet is trappist 1 d. I would love it you added a way to center on a star in a multi star system. Because on star system like kepler 90 I can't see any of the planets so please add that in. Also add giants and main sequence in stars type and maybe ice giants and hot jupiters please. But overall 9.6/10

Triangulum Galaxy

I liked it before but the update is cool! Hope you keep adding stuff

Charlie

Please add local galactic group and Virgo super cluster

Intresting try. Medicore result though. Low quality menus. I dont like also the 3d view pf the nebulas. Orion nebula in 3d does not remind me the real Orion nebula. The developers though are very polite. They did a serius work and the price/value is very good.
